Details: Manager, Field Sales - On premise POSITION SUMMARY: The role is responsible for the planning, communication and execution of our On-Premise objectives with our distributor partners and the trade. The Manager will ensure we are achieving our fair share of business, growth and awareness in this important channel of business through regular interaction, account calls, training and education. RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales planning and program development Implement sales performance measures and targets using the Constellation Brands CORE brand priorities with distributors while assisting in achieving expected on premise results. Communicate on-premise SKU priorities by varietal and price segments and review execution against these standards. Submit relevant, meaningful, and timely suggestions to the Sales Director regarding pricing and programming. Work with Sales Operations Manager (SOM) to develop action plans for business opportunities through the use of strategic insights and as applicable distributor sales data such as Sales Nav Execution and communication of sales objectives FSMs should plan out Market activities at a minimum of 30 days out and with a goal of planning 60 days in advance, and within distributor guidelines. Plans should be available in your company calendar, and should plans unexpectedly change, the FSM should do all within reason to communicate the change and offer an alternative suggestion, if applicable. Plans are fluid and the calendar should be updated when plan changes are known. In market training and relationship development Call directly on key on premise accounts to achieve wine by the glass, banquet and catering wine, and wine list placements Develop a professional business relationship with the buyers in the top 50 accounts in territory, including the F & B’s at the top predetermined and agreed upon hotels in your assigned area. This list should have periodic reviews. Conduct market work withs distributor sales representatives, managers, and KAM’s, weekly as needed. FSM should make every attempt to be with a distributor representative at least 8 times a month. Recaps of successes, opportunities and market intelligence should be sent in at the end of each week to the Sales Director, and appropriate distributor personnel. A follow up process should be developed to insure commitments are finalized. Participate in the planning and execution new product launches as directed Participate in trade events, distributor holiday shows, crew drives, blitzes and wine dinners in key accounts. Utilize On Premise Specialist at distributor effectively in your territory. Help initiate and coordinate Academy of Wine activities as needed in your geography. Attend on premise sales meetings at distributor to train and inform distributor sales people and managers about Constellation Brands portfolio and motivate the sales force to execute Constellation Brand’s on premise programs, strategies and standards in order to achieve depletion and distribution goals Administration and analysis Hold monthly business reviews with appropriate distributor management including KAM’s in your assigned area, including in-depth analysis of brand and account performance. Send a recap of these meeting by the end of the week or Monday if the meeting is on a Friday, copying the On Premise Sales Director. Communicate all National Accounts placements to the distributor. Assist in tracking National Account compliance in your market. Assist the distributor in presenting and tracking placement success of optional items.
