Must be able to research pertinent FASB guidance related to complex accounting matters while ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Manage review comments on draft SEC reports (10Q and 10K) and work with the PWC team (including PWC Sr. Managers and Partners) accordingly to ensure all SEC review comments are addressed. Must be able to work with both internal and external SEC counsel to ensure the 10Q and 10K are compliant with SEC regulations. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley controls are being properly performed within the department, and assist with periodic SOX testing/reporting requirements facilitated by Internal Audit/External Auditors. Responsible for managing the transaction support process and ensuring that all material global and corporate transactions are being properly accounted and disclosed. Identify opportunities to refine and improve the current control documentation, testing, monitoring, and reporting by utilizing knowledge of AS/5 and COSO 2013 methodologies. Determine effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with SEC reporting requirements, government regulations and company policies and procedures. Communicate audit results and prepare written documentation as it relates to SOX and other internal audit projects, disclosing all deficiencies to management. Maintain strong working relationship with process owners and senior management. Develop strong relationship with internal audit team to ensure consistent methodologies, policies, and alignment of resources, all of which serve to foster a unified team atmosphere. Perform other special projects as requested. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on SOX compliance and Internal Control issues. Maintain and improve technical abilities and general business awareness by attending training (IIA, ISACA, etc.). Ensure proper SOX documentation is kept up to-date for scoping, testing, and remediation of all key control activities. QUALIFICATIONS: At least 4 years of similar experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or SOX-compliant Company. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) including, PCAOB Auditing Standard No. 5, and 2013 COSO framework. Familiarity with process documentation, including both narratives and flowcharting is required. Ability to identify process risks, mitigating controls, and design gaps is required. Ability to assess and recommend solutions for moderate to complex processes. Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities and findings both in written and verbal form. Ability to present analysis and findings in a cohesive, understandable and actionable format to department management and others. Possesses excellent research and issue resolution skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse tasks and adhere to tight deadlines. Ability to work with all types of people and to easily adapt to various environments and situations necessary. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficient in desktop applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Access etc.). Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all levels of the organization. Combination of Public Accounting and internal audit experience, a plus.
