Product Support Engineer

Details: JOB SUMMARY: The Product Support Engineer is the primary interface for dedicated customer quotation support to the SPX-Lightnin Sales Representatives network. Support can be by telephone, email or eSales (SPX-Lightnin web based proprietary sales tool). Support can include mixing process design, mixer mechanical design, cost analysis and pricing for special options or engineered to order mixer applications and designs. SPX-Lightnin is a solutions based company that prides itself on solving customers mixing needs and requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide first-line quotation support to the SPX-Lightnin Sales Representative network • Provide process design, mixer sizing and selection, and mechanical design guidance for custom mixing applications • Conduct detailed design and cost analysis, including vendor quotes for materials, for custom mixing solutions • Respond to requests from Sales Representatives, with technical solutions, pricing, and lead time • Review, interpret and comment on customer technical specifications provided with requests • Participate in Quote to Order reconciliation for assigned quotes / orders, resolving discrepancies between quote and order documentation • Utilize automated sales tools for performing and managing quote and order activities • Conduct occasional hands on lab tests to develop custom mixing solutions for specific customer needs • Maintain knowledge of Lightnin and Plenty products, processes and applications • Participate as a team member of the Customer Satisfaction and Support Team and recommend process and functional improvements • Interaction with multiple levels of Sales and Engineering organizations • Provide on-site training to Sales Representatives and customers as required. Details: New Position Open for Remote Low Voltage Architects are technical leaders, responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation as applied to specific issues. Responsibilities of the Position This position requires the ability to attend client meetings (local and out-of-town), perform site surveys to recognize cabling infrastructure system deficiencies and effectively communicate and coordinate a solution with the client and design team. This position requires the ability to design projects for healthcare facilities, office space, equipment rooms, educational buildings, telecom rooms, etc. including identification of electrical and mechanical cooling load requirements for IT spaces. The engineer shall be experienced in working/coordinating design requirements with architects, electrical, HVAC, structural, etc engineers. This also includes the coordination of fire alarm (dial tone), paging, security (access control, video surveillance, and duress systems), CATV, and AV systems requirements with other design engineers.
