Details: Due to recent growth in our Manufacturing group, we are looking to add experienced Fabricators that are ready to work. Are you an experienced Fabricator looking for new and challenging work? Then this is the job for you! The experienced Fabricators will work with fabrications for aviation and automotive projects. This position is located in our Livonia, Michigan facility. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of fabrication experience or equivalent schooling or equivalent military experience Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Welder in the area of TIG and MIG welding Comprehensive interpretive understanding of weldment drawings with AWS A2.4 welding symbols Must be fluent in stainless steel. Own tools required (hand & air) and rolling toolbox Understanding and experience of fabrications (large and small) Have reliable attendance & able to work afternoon shift as scheduled Must be available to work overtime/weekends Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Must be able to work with minimal supervision Good communication skills Must be quality and detailed oriented Be self-starting and self-motivated Must be able to work with little or minimal experience. Preferred Skills Understanding of AS9100. Experience with Aviation weldments and fixtures. Experience with following low-volume production processing procedures Experience operating a Hi-Lo.

Stockpile Operations Manager - Rail, Midwest Region

Details: Org Unit : SALT Area of Interest : Supply Chain/Logistics Shift : 1st Shift The Stockpile Operations Manager for the US Midwest Region manages supplier relationships for bulk De-icing salt (BDI) rail and distribution sites, negotiates contracts, inventory planning, evaluation of supplier performance, private railcar fleet management, including railcar tracking, railcar maintenance programs, and resolution of service issues. Responsibilities include: • Analyze and determine optimal placement for BDI rail bulk storage and distribution facilities. • Provide car tracking to ensure efficiency of car turns and demurrage tracking. • Coordinate railcar maintenance schedules and repair cycles. • Ensure production facility personnel timely order, release, and coordinate rail switches. • Resolve rail transportation related billing issues, switching charges, and demurrage. • Negotiate and contract rates for rail supply to stockpile and truck transportation to customer. • Negotiate subcontract rates for site operations and appropriate contract terms. • Understand and identify environmental regulations/requirements at the various sites to insure facility is operating within the necessary guidelines. • Manage stockpile covering/uncovering activities. • Coordinate inventory replenishment based on current inventory, customer orders and forecasts. • Monitor on-order and facility shipment schedules to determine optimum truck supply, overtime requirements and, if necessary, redocking of orders to alternate facilities. • Work closely with sales and marketing team to timely respond to forecast changes, sales spikes, volumes, and trends on a real time base. • Investigate and resolve product quality and service issues. • Identify capital projects necessary at the various facilities, assemble capex application and the necessary documentation for submission of application and insure approved projects are completed within the scope of work and within budget. • Develop an understanding of customer bid requirements to insure compliance with contract terms for items such as moisture & gradation penalties, minimum daily delivery requirements, delivery completion dates, etc. • Work closely with rail stockpile terminals, carriers, and bulk customers (governmental & non-governmental) to resolve delivery/priority issues and coordinate/manage/prioritize outbound deliveries to achieve overall customer satisfaction. Meet with rail terminals, rail providers, storage site handlers, and dump carriers at a minimum of once annually to review kpi’s, evaluate their overall performance and identify areas for improvement. Executive summary should be prepared and distributed after each meeting. • Identify opportunities to improve service levels, supply chain costs and efficiencies. • Manage and measure subcontractor/carrier performance. • Aggressive cost management. • Manage allocations, payment approvals and budget. • Manage terminals in an assigned geographic area Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree. • Minimum of 5 years experience in Private Rail Fleet Management • Knowledge of computer systems to include proficiency in Microsoft Office, railcar tracking software, logistics system applications, SAP a plus. • Ability to manage multiple projects. • Established skills in contract negotiations; proven track record in win/win negotiations. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and follow-through skills. • Action oriented individual, drives for results. • Required travel up to 20%.
