Reports to: President/Executive Director The Ohio Utilities Protection Service (O.U.P.S.) is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Public Relations and Communications Coordinator. This position plays a vital role in the overall success of the organization. The Public Relations and Communications Coordinator is responsible for planning and directing continuous development and execution of the Ohio Utilities Protection Service publicity and public relations. This position serves as an advocate for O.U.P.S. by building and maintaining positive relationships with the public, industry associations, governmental agencies and multiple media outlets. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for creating and implementing all public relations programs and publicity activities for O.U.P.S. Responsible for writing and editing speeches, O.U.P.S. publications, contributed articles, internal newsletters and media publicity stories and press releases. Must develop and maintain good working relationships with the media, including local, national and trade publication and broadcast outlets, serving as spokesperson for the organization. Responsible for coordinating and presenting public speaking opportunities at presentations, press conferences and media interviews or meetings.
