Having expertise in the home care arena, s/he serves as a resource to the clinical and operational team. The Administrator partners with the Assistant Administrator/Regional Director of Nursing (DON) and RN Branch Manager(s) to develop budget, strategic plan, response to internal/external regulatory surveys, determine employee training needs, and work with Senior Management to carry out the organization’s Vision & Mission. The Administrator periodically evaluates all services and programs in an effort to improve patient care services while ensuring clinical and financial success. Key Accountabilities Agency Operations: Component Proportion 55% Responsible for overall profit/loss of the Parent and its Branch location(s). Periodically reviews the timely completion of Work Flow tasks related to clinical and financial outcomes, e.g., locking of OASIS, submission of RAPs, Final Claims, field documentation, takes follow-up action, as needed, to ensure compliance with Divisional expectations. Reviews Non-Admit Events from all locations. Reports significant patient findings to the Vice President and collaborates on actions or interventions to be taken. Performs periodic review of both electronic & hard-copy medical records and takes appropriate steps to ensure regulatory compliance with patient care and documentation standards. Reviews internal patient satisfaction surveys and provides appropriate follow up. Program Administration Coordination: Component Proportion 45% Reviews and ensures HR deficiencies are corrected on a monthly basis in an effort to ensure personnel files are current. Reviews key management reports and collaborates with the Assistant Administrator, Regional DON & ADON to take appropriate interventions to ensure clinical/financial success. These include, but are not limited to the Agency Performance Summary Report, Productivity Report, Therapy Utilization Report, Coordination Notes Report, monthly financials, outcomes, and HCHAPS. Provides leadership and guidance in promoting extremely high ethical standards among the all staff and within the organization. Serves as a leader, positive role model, mentor and resource for the Regional DON and other agency personnel. Coordinates activities between the branch offices to ensure continuity in the application of internal policies & procedures, nursing standards and compliance with state/federal regulations. Participates in the review and evaluation of existing internal policies making recommendations for change, if needed, to achieve the organization’s goals and support the organization’s mission. Maintains availability at all times during operating hours either in person, by telecommunications or by designating appropriate personnel to act in his/her absence. W orks with Senior Management and leads subordinates in the budgeting process, routine review of financial statements. Conducts on-site supervisory visits to assess compliance with internal policy and practices, as well as adherence to regulatory standards. Participates in the selection of qualified staff members and oversees new employee orientation of location managers. Participates, as directed, in the development of ongoing staff education. Good working familiarity of catalytic reactors and distillation. Experience managing at least eight or more direct reports. Demonstrated understanding of P&L and other financial statements. Sales and marketing management experience. Understanding of fundamentals of pricing policy, price stewardship, and valued pricing. Experience negotiating major contracts. Good communication skills.
