Scribes are responsible for assisting the physicians by recording all findings during the examination in the electronic patient record. The Scribes complete encounter forms, glasses and medication prescription forms and recall information. Principle Duties/Responsibilities: Assist physicians with patients Document, in patients' record, the physician findings of the examination Record billing information of the exam for proper financial processing Escorts patients to patient reception area; may be required to assist patients with walking, pushing wheelchairs, lifting and transferring Accurately fill out and complete all information during the course of exam (route slips, consent forms, cataract data sheets, glasses prescriptions, medication prescription forms, inclusive of required additional forms) Perform intra-ocular pressures, A-scans, IOL Master measurements Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other employees .8 FTE (approximately 32 hours per week). *We do ask new employees to work full-time; up to 40 hours per week during the orientation period (90 days). Light cleaning of coolers; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop. Clean floors using floor scrubber. Disassembling equipment. Pressure wash rugs. Occasionally clean overhead storage levels using man lift. Inspect equipment to assure sanitation requirements are met. Report all issues to supervisor .
