The Assistant Technical Designer balances the flow of tasks and information across various personnel and departments in order to achieve results. Under general supervision, the Assistant Technical Designer works independently to accomplish objectives and is a key contributor to the Research & Design team. Responsibilities: • Assist with generating and updating arrangements, layouts, and assembly drawings including bill of materials, labor, routings, and costings, as required. • Assist with tag and drawing number assignments and requests. • A ssist with generating and assembling drawings and documents required to complete design and construction package • Complete basic design assignments and review drawings for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company and project specifications and standards. • Assist with ensuring deliverables are completed in conformance with requirements and delivered to document control on schedule. • Assist in preparation and maintenance of resource plans, status reports, forecasts, and other project control tools; Inspect material and product to ensure quality standards are met, and identifying discrepancies in people and processes to suggest improvement measures. • Assist with document control functions in the Company and customer document management systems. • Provide customer support on technical issues as requested. • Encourage and participate in interdisciplinary problem resolution. • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of design concepts, computer engineering work processes, and project execution. • Document specification designs , organize the process documentation, and circulate the work flow charts to all the personnel and departments involved in design and production. • Maintain detailed records of the samples and materials procured for various projects undertaken by the organization. • Perform market research to get an insight into the current trends and buying pattern of consumers. • Maintain communication with the external agencies and accompany the senior designers during client meetings.
