Specific Duties: Direct responsibility to follow the customer service policies and guidelines to insure compliance of department expectations. Maintain a presence within the engineering department. Manage the group to produce zero errors on engineering assignments. Coordinate structural calculations with internal and external structural engineer Plan workload and manage the detailers schedule including controlling time parameter of detailers, direct, indirect, vacation, and overtime hours. Review detailer progress…complexity of assignments, problem resolution, time parameters, meeting commitments and performance expectations. Work with OBE detailers to design projects to support minimum throughput time, optimum profitability, minimum manufacturing, minimum erection costs. Troubleshoot engineering related problems and setup advanced training to develop detailers. Setup operating procedures or guidelines to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of detailers to improve the engineering processes. Coach and counsel detailers on performance growth and career path. Recommend for approval…Personnel actions on performance, merit increases, transfers or other employee actions as required. Prepare and submit to Engineering Manager end of month briefing report reviewing performance metrics of team. Supply management with information and reports to enhance management of department and recommend changes to improve services and profit. Assist in supporting project managers in mediating field service and back charge issues related to engineering issues. Champion safety within your group. The Service Agent cleans vehicles inside and out (vehicles may be cleaned by hand or by operating washing equipment). The Service Agent also performs regular maintenance (non-mechanical services), moves vehicles, and performs other duties assigned by the manager, all completed in a safe and timely manner. The Service Agent is responsible for the care and maintenance of the cars on the lot. This includes vacuuming and prepping the cars, shuttling cars to and from car washes and dealerships for servicing, car transports to and from offices, checking fluid levels, and changing tires.
