This position coordinates and supervises all land management activities to include site preparation, tree planting, herbaceous weed control, fertilization, asset protection (fire response) and pre-commercial thinning. They also ensure timber harvesting activities comply with contract requirements and Best Management Practices. Key Responsibilities Develops and implements site specific silvicutural prescriptions that maximize net present value. Utilizes appropriate decision support tools to conduct financial evaluations on silvicutural prescriptions. Oversees harvesting operations as defined in the Resource Unit structure. Coordinated the maintenance of the forest inventory and GIS databases. Protects land and timber assets from loss due to fire, theft, insects and disease. Supervises road and boundary line maintenance. Maintains productive relationships with adjacent forest landowners, forest industry contacts and public agencies. Supports TerraPointe Services (TSI) in value enhancing land management activities. Supports the budgeting and forecasting process for silvicutural and road construction capital, overhead and contract services. Collaborates effectively with timber marketing, resource development, land information services and land asset management personnel. Maintains a safe work environment. Ensures that risk management, environmental compliance programs and SFI requirements are effective and maintained.
