The Network Administrator, reporting to the Network Manager, develops, maintains, and performs all information technology-related activities to support all technology users and data center equipment as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to provide first and second level technical support of network and end-user desktop/laptop hardware and software on a timely basis in a Windows NT environment; promptly performs IT-related functions as required to support enterprise-wide applications. Ensures accurate, continuous, and timely operation of applications, network resources, and telecommunication systems to support the company’s goals and objectives. Under the direction of the Network Manager, is also responsible for installing network applications, routine maintenance of network servers, WAN connectivity and related WAN devices, supporting remote and virtual private network (VPN) solutions, performing regular data backups, as well as administering applications and devices associated with email, internet, Proxy, and Firewall servers. Additional Responsibilities Ensures that all operations are carried out at the minimum cost consistent with quality standards. Demonstrates a sense of urgency; maintains a high degree of employee motivation and morale, departmental and interdepartmental cooperation. Maintains neatness and orderliness in the department. Complies with safety regulations and initiates action to establish new regulations whenever the need arises. Maintains and complies with policies, procedures, and practices relating to business operations. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
