Multi Craft Maintenance Technician

Details: The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for setup, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of mechanical/electrical equipment including automatic machines and process controls, as well as basic plant electrical equipment and switch gear. This includes preventive maintenance activities. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. • Assemble, install or repair electrical or electronic devices on machinery or equipment • Troubleshoot electrical circuits of machinery, and equipment using schematics, blueprints, and manuals. • Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems using test equipment and basic troubleshooting skills. • Perform preventative, and predictive maintenance on equipment as directed by supervisor • Test all repairs and installations for correct functionality • Record all work, and parts used in computer maintenance tracking software • Assure safe work practices, and company policies are adhered to at all times • Must demonstrate proficiency in the care and use of all site specific PPE. You would work under the supervision of a shift leader, carrying out several tasks within the same shift. Qualifications • High School Diploma or G.E.D. • Must posse a valid Driver’s License • 5+ Years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision • Knowledge of industrial mechanics, including gears, belts, pumps, bearings, couplings, and blowers. • Understanding of pneumatic, and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and solenoids • Knowledge of basic welding, and fabrication • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals • Ability to perform tasks under varying conditions (i.e. dust, oil, grease, hot and humid conditions, noise) • Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic controls and switch gear • Graduates of industrial, and/or electrical technology programs preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION: Pre Order Stage: • Assist the applications and sales departments with specifications, concepting, estimating and technical presentations Post Order Stage: • Ensure that the engineering design, both electrical and mechanical, meets the specification and follows approved concept on assigned projects • Attend design review meetings, tabling any concerns and acting on these concerns through close communication with the department managers • Follow procedures to determine the actual progress of each project, based on, schedule, conformance to specification, risk analysis, budget and forecast • Responsible to facilitate the project teams on assigned projects to a successful completion, on time and within budget • Responsible to facilitate SCR's and RFC's through the PM processes • Responsible to facilitate all customer contact through the project life cycle • Active participant in the World Class customer check-out and project closure • Work with service and accounting to achieve project closure • Work with sales on commercial issues outside the scope of SCR's and RFC's • Seek and discover new products and processes that are applicable to our business
