Location: Milwaukee, WI Title: Manager - Corporate Trucking Operations Summary: Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Transportation & Logistics, the Manager – Corporate Trucking Operations has General Management responsibility for leading and managing our clients Private Fleet operations, and for ensuring cost effective operation of a nationwide medium-sized trucking company operating from multiple domiciles. Responsible for administration, expertise and control for all Private Fleet programs, including service execution, strategic planning, external marketing and sales, talent management, sustained safe operations and compliance with US Government safety and driver management programs. This leader exercises independent judgment, initiative and discretion in support of strategic business objectives, core competencies and guiding principles. The leader will also be responsible for the growth of the fleet operations. Organization: Supervisory Relationships: Reports to the Director, Corporate Transportation and Logistics. Supervises up to 6 direct reports and some dotted-line subordinates including: Supervisor- Trucking Operations; Fleet Team Leaders, Logistics Analyst-Fleet Operations. Supports 100+ additional reports (truck drivers, union laborers) in the Private Fleets. Manages 3rd-Party companies providing driver or equipment services to our client. Organization Relationships: Daily contact with US/North American and International Transportation & Logistics departments. Frequent contact with materials managers and operations leaders in client businesses. Frequent contact with Sales, Shipping and purchasing departments from each division. Frequent contact with Accounts Payable/Shared Services departments. Frequent contact with Corporate Accounting. Regular contact with Corporate Insurance. Occasional contact with Corporate Tax department. Occasional contact with the client Legal department. External Business Relationships: Daily contact with transportation equipment service providers to administer equipment and maintenance. Periodic contact with supplier middle management. Daily contact with customers and vendors to manage requirements for business execution. Regular contact US Government Department of Transportation officials, and other agency officials charged with trucking industry oversight.

Details: Mission To perform visual inspection and dimensional, electrical or mechanical tests of materials, processes, assemblies or subassemblies to ensure compliance to specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of parts, equipment and products to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards. Perform dimensional, electrical and mechanical tests of materials, processes or subassemblies to ensure conformance to specifications and standards. Use blueprints, work instructions, schematics and to perform checks and tests of assemblies. Authorize customer returns and accept / reject parts. Actively work with manufacturing and engineering to minimize quality returns and holds. Identify non-conformities and work with manufacturing and quality staff to resolve issues. Use the non-conformity report to track any issues. Report any possible defects in the materials or product to management. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and test equipment to perform tasks. Assist Quality and Manufacturing Engineering with development and improvement of inspection, testing and other QA policies and procedures. Responsible for the cleanliness, organization and maintenance of their area of work. Responsible to fulfill the H&S obligations according to OSHA requirements. Follow the plan and schedule defined by quality and production. Follow instructions to keep and follow 5S methodology Perform other tasks as assigned.

MANAGER OF QUALITY ASSURANCE

Details: SUMMARY: Thisposition ensures that products and services produced are of high quality andsatisfy both internal and external requirements. This includes meeting andexceeding customer expectations in compliance with regulatory requirements. Theposition has the responsibility for managing the people and services providedby the Quality and Field Service Departments, which includes effectiveinteractions with all departments at all levels to ensure continuity of goodquality products and services, support for introduction of new products, andqualification of new and revised products and processes. The Quality Departmentis responsible for insuring that the facility is in compliance with applicable ISOregulations, and that the plant’s quality procedures and systems are incompliance with quality system requirements and customer quality protocols. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for designing and leading the implementation and maintenance of an effective and efficient quality management system that assures products consistently meet customer and UAI requirements. Review in-process quality failures and determine the disposition of nonconforming materials. Correspond with customers and suppliers to resolve problems. Lead root cause investigations through to effective long-term resolutions. Collect and analyze performance data and charts against set indicators and parameters. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Design Engineering to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Define and implement quality initiatives and programs that result in consistently meeting company quality goals, objectives and critical variables. Promote quality achievement and outperformance improvement throughout the plant. Use appropriate tools and equipment to assess failure modes and associated risk; develop plant to mitigate, eliminate or control potential quality hazards. Develop and implement appropriate in-process quality inspection plans using effective, cost-conscious methods. Identify quality-related training needs, ensuring they are delivered to appropriate staff on a continuous basis as required. Productively engage with customers and vendors on a regular basis. Coordinate, communicate, and host customer and ISO certification audits. Plans, directs and controls Company quality assurance functions including production inspection and evaluation of borderline material and general supervision of quality personnel. Establishes departmental work procedures and allocates work activities according to order priorities and capabilities of individuals. Monitors work activities to ensure that tasks are completed on a timely basis. Changes or adjusts work assignments in response to management direction or priority situations. Evaluates all quality audit results in relation to product specifications. Determines “pass" or “hold" on borderline cases. Authorizes and signs certificate of analysis certifying material and test procedures. When necessary, conducts actual tests as a working manager. Audits in-coming material and finished product for conformance to specifications. Inspects, tests, and evaluates customer returned goods. Recommends rework or other corrective action. Evaluates production and product problems related to quality. Advises manufacturing management, leads, production employees, and quality teams on quality issues. Checks quality rejected material to identify quality problems. Periodically conducts quality audits of plant operations, summarizes findings and recommends improvements. Plans and conducts on-site audits of supplier’s facilities. Recommends quality improvements to suppliers. Recommends changing of suppliers who fail to meet quality requirements. Participates in customer audits and implements changes to meet customer requirements. Maintains records and files related to quality assurance activities, such as technical specifications, SPC data, analysis of incoming material, and other similar data. Maintains computerized records of rework, inventory and related data. Conducts annual document review. Trains, instructs, and orientates employees to Company and departmental procedures. May delegate instructional responsibilities to designated subordinates. Cross trains employees to provide back-up assistance to others in the department. Experienced in and drives APQP / PPAP / ISIR / PSW activities and submissions Proficient in application of Advanced Quality Planning techniques and drives any of the following in the business: FMEA; process flow diagram, process control plan, quality measurement and statistical techniques, quality tools, and poka yoke techniques Serve as the "window" to the customer regarding quality issues associated with new product introductions, engineering changes, complaint management, and customer audit activity Actively promotes and reinforces the company’s 7S principles Oversee and maintains the company’s Calibration Systems Ensure production is supported 24/7 by the Quality and Field Service teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize Company guidelines to process inventory receipts and shipments. Reconcile inventory at 3rd party storage locations, and resolve differences with vendors and other commercial contacts. Schedule shipments. Manually key data into computer.
