ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Possess a thorough understanding of all external and internal standards that apply to Arctic Cat ATV’s and ROV’s. Perform detailed Compliance procedures in accordance with regulatory and Arctic Cat standards. Compile and maintain compliance documents per documentation process. Develop new Arctic Cat standards, and give input to upcoming regulatory standards. Stay abreast of design changes that affect ATV and ROV’s to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained. Attend and contribute to design reviews. Research and recommend design modifications. Determine appropriate test equipment required to perform testing. Design and fabricate test fixtures and equipment as required. Stay up to date on new and innovative test equipment that applies to Arctic Cat compliance testing. Operate and understand programming of data acquisition equipment and test instrumentation including strain gages, accelerometers, sound measurement, and LVDT’s. These methods include visual (VT), liquid penetrant (PT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and ultrasonic testing (UT) methods. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The NDE Technician will be qualified to properly perform specific calibrations, specific NDE testing, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and is responsible to record results. The NDE Technician will setup and calibrate equipment and interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
