Learn and implement new techniques and methods through instruction by senior scientists and project team. Plan and implement experiments to generate innovative solutions and novel methods in order to address current food industry opportunities. Perform detailed documentation of results in electronic lab notebook, organize and analyze data in Microsoft Excel and provide timely and organized communications, reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Details: Mission To manage and lead the efforts of the supply chain function, which include material procurement and sourcing, inventory management, vendor selection, warehouse and distribution, within the Indar Electric Machines unit within the Ingeteam US facility. Responsibilities Continue development of Supply Chain in the USA Define purchasing and supply chain policies for the USA, based on those from the parent company in Spain. Identify business needs and areas of improvement. Develop and implement new procedures to streamline current processes Determine objectives for the overall cost of a purchase, including price, quality, quantity, delivery, time and payment terms. Maintain, manage and develop relationships with existing suppliers and vendors and develop new sources. Ensure that suppliers and vendors meet company quality requirements. Determine appropriate suppliers and vendors, including determining whether outsourcing is the best option. Oversee and manage the delivery of materials, including deciding best shipment method and appropriate freight charges. Manage overseas purchases. Analyze and determine quantitative (optimum series dimensioning and cost reduction) and qualitative (suggest change of materials, alternative products, etc) needs of department. Use SAP Purchasing Module for inventory management (ensuring appropriate quantity of materials needed on hand for production and the arrival of materials on time) and purchase requisitions. Work with Finance to manage payment of invoices and appropriate costs of materials. Manage, study and continuously develop supplier’s market structure. Generate and implement cost reduction projects. Create and negotiate contracts with suppliers. Ensure activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal regulations and environmental policies Inform management of the foreseen evolution of the conditions of purchase or troubles that arise with international and other suppliers. Lead and manage staff, including the training and development of the team, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion deadlines and ensuring consistent applications of company policies and procedures.
