Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift

Details: Mission To perform mechanical assembly of wind power generators. Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly according to the standard operating procedures and instructions based on lean manufacturing philosophy (KANBAN, one piece flow, Ishikawa diagrams). Use blue prints, work instruction and schematics to perform assembly operations. Use basic measuring, hand (impact wrenches, torques wrenches) and power tools as necessary for the assembly of specific parts. Use overhead cranes and forklift as required. Ensure each check point and traceability of the component is collected and tracked properly in the computer system. Ensure each job is tracked appropriately using the job costing system so time can be billed correctly. Inform the supervisor if the stocks to carry out the process are not sufficient. Maintain communication with the quality department to ensure work passes inspection and is ready for shipment timely. Use the non-conformity report to track any issue. Be involved in improvement group if it is request in order to solve any issue. Follow the plan and schedule defined by the supervisor and production department. Follow instructions to keep and follow 5S methodology. Cross train in different workstations and on different generators models if needed May conduct electrical tests and determines where errors may be. Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Location : Milwaukee, WI Position Summary Electronic and manual checking and verification of mechanical piece parts, structures, assemblies and electromechanical assemblies for fabrication and manufacturing requirements. Apply knowledge and experience to efficiently confirm and verify final design configuration models and documents in accordance with ASME Y14.x standards, internal best practices, and MIL document conventions. Duties and Responsibilities Work with limited supervision as a member of a product development team to complete project deliverables on schedule with a critical focus on timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. Demonstrate creativity, energy, and the ability to plan, manage, and communicate progress on design checking and verification assignments. Basic Qualifications 3+ years experience with mechanical drafting checking functions in a military, DoD or industrial business environment. 10,000 hours of experience using the Siemens NX CAD application, including 2D drafting and 3D modeling. Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter PLM Data Manger Experience with ‘Worst Case’ stack up tolerance analysis including impact of GD&T Experience designing to ASME Y14.x series design standards and GD&T Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment. Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge Design experience with US Navy MIL standards, metal-enclosed switchgear and electronic power conversion products. Details: Position Summary Job Description: This position is responsible for the solution design, execution, and support of the detailed design of Rockwell Automation’s Supply Chain Management business processes associated with SAP. This position works with various IT organizations, including but not limited to, IT Business Partner Team, Architecture, Data Quality Management, and Service Delivery to ensure successful and stable business processes. Scope: The scope of this role is global across all Rockwell Automation locations. Essential Functions: Consults/partners with business process owners to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope including archiving and quality requirements, usage, formatting, and security requirements. Baseline understanding and continued education of business processes within functional scope above. Analyze and decompose the business processes Develop business process documentation. Ensure that business processes are effectively mapped in the software configuration. Identify the global and standardization requirements versus the local requirements. Works with other disciplines within IT to ensure business processes are rolled out based on requirements driven by the business process owners.
