Also required is the ability to perform basic math functions, compute ratios, rate, and percentage, draw and interpret graphs and charts. Necessary problem solving skills include having the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Having an ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format, as well as basic knowledge of computers and related software is required. Applicants with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science related field and applicants with a mechanical aptitude are preferred. Responsibilities • Assist engineers and technicians, as required, with development projects • Conduct development and compliance testing for residential air filtration components and devices • Analyze test results and performance data and prepare test reports • Design and maintain laboratory equipment and test fixtures • Maintain levels of consumable parts and components used in the lab • Provide technical support to operating units as necessary and maintain excellent communication with all outside personnel involved
