Job Summary Quality Technicians are responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes and products comply with engineering specification, responding to urgent quality problems on the shop floor, and driving improvement projects to reduce to Cost of Non-Quality. Quality Technicians work closely with Mfg Engineering, Manufacturing, Receiving Inspection, and Platform Quality Engineering. Major Duties & Responsibilities Respond to shop-floor quality problems by investigating the problem and initiating the appropriate containment and corrective action. Utilize a variety of inspection instruments and techniques to ensure compliance to process and product specification (e.g. dimensional, clamp load, surface finish, appearance, adhesion, continuity, etc). Monitor Cost of Non-Quality drivers (scrap, internal defect rate) and develop action plans to improve. Participate in continuous improvement meetings with manufacturing team.
