On an ongoing basis with College leadership, determines (using a risk-based methodology) which organizational and functional activities of the College are to be reviewed by the Internal Audit Manager to provide assurance that the College’s resources are being used effectively and efficiently, and that the College is in compliance with College policies and procedures, state and federal laws, and external regulations. 2. • Issues reports to management which include recommendations for improvements in administrative procedures and business practices, and improvements regarding the effectiveness and efficiency with which activities are carried out. 3. • As needed, coordinates with Public Safety the investigation of allegations of fraud and theft, and provides internal control advice to operating units that may be victims of fraud and theft. Provides training on internal control, best practices, and training sessions as requested. 4. • In collaboration with the Manager of District-Wide Risk, develops a comprehensive audit program that focuses on how the College will address, manage, and mitigate its risks in order for the institution to achieve its strategic goals, operational objectives, and regulatory compliance. Communication and coordination of all work with the VP of Finance is also important.
