Details: Overview: This position is responsible for leading a team of Retrofit Coordinators in planning, scheduling, implementing and expediting activities in a specific operational area in regards to ensuring Pre-Production properties are retrofitted according to timing, Engineering level and part requirement standards. Work involves a number of different technical and administrative support duties including the ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures, procurement of parts using EMS and coordinating retrofits with Platform Teams, Engineering and Technicians. This position is also responsible for leading the implementation of GMS and BPD processes in the teams well as coaching and mentoring the team where required. The work performed is independent with Supervision available to assist with unusual situations. Qualifications Educated in Dangerous Goods 49 CFR as well as coordinating this with the shipping department to ensure all requirements are met and proper Dangerous Goods Documentation is completed. Establish proper training plans and follow through completion. Follow procedures to document and validate training records. Actively teach and coach GMS initiatives to support teams. Coach and mentor TMs in the performance of their roles and responsibilities. Perform safety observation tours (SOT) with TMs and ensure weekly safety talks are conducted with all employees. Support investigation of all accidents / near misses. Complete Safety Incident Reports as required. Coordinate with Team Members/Technicians/Engineers the planning, packaging, shipping preparations for all Engineering test trips and events including road trips and overseas shipping support.
