Details: Position Description: The Materials Planner will manage and replenish packaging/ingredient inventories for WhiteWave products at the City of Industry manufacturing facility.The incumbent will reconcile packaging/ingredient receipts to purchase orders and accurately track packaging/ingredient costs to maintain a desired level of working capital. The incumbent must be a change catalyst with strong communication and time management skills who has an entrepreneurial mindset. This position will be reporting to the Production Scheduling Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage desired inventory levels of packaging/ingredients to support production schedule Initiate purchase orders to replenish inventories Provide production consumption and forecast information to plants and suppliers to improve efficiencies Accurately maintain and update all packaging/ingredient costs Collect information on rejected packaging/ingredients from the plants and follow through with suppliers for credit memos Work with Accounts Payable to reconcile and approve receipts Work with the Procurement department to implement and manage the exit of discontinued packaging/ingredients and the introduction of new packaging/ingredients at the production facilities Develop a rapport with packaging/ingredient suppliers, purchasing agents at the plant level, and all White Wave departments involved with packaging/ingredients (QA, R&D, Technical Services, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, and Logistics) Support SAP Master Data for Procurement Managers and Coordinators. Process Procurement master data forms, enter data in SAP, confirm for approval and accuracy Manage raw material/packaging inventory and compare with Min/Max levels and daily consumption Monitor on-order quantity of each product Communicate with production planning on availability of ingredients and packaging Notify production planning of inventory shortages and vendor issues Perform monthly cycle counts Analyze and report cycle count variances Maintain accuracy of all raw materials and packaging goods inventory Work closely with all other work teams, including corporate planners and internal plant teams to maintain targeted customer service Monitor BOM changes during SKU transitions Other duties as assigned

Details: Plating specification met per engineering standards Monitor parts produced for bending, burning, dullness, tool damage, and dryness Properly label all parts produced with information Visually inspect all parts produced for proper winding, labels, and packaging Tape and bend parts for peelers once per hour Box or stack all parts in correct shipping procedure Implement SPC charts for all processes that require documentation Inform QC of what parts are running and give advance notice of any changes Document all scrap with cause and solution Product parts at 70% to 100% of maximum efficiency Maintain scrap and returned parts below 2% of total lot produced Follow production schedules utilizing most effective line/part efficiency Adjust rectifiers and coverage for minimum metal usage per engineering standards Segregate scrap to proper areas for recycling Adjust, clean, or replace electrical contacts when inefficient or metal build-up occurs Visually inspect motors, pumps, hoses and claims when inefficient or metal build-up occurs Visually examine air blow-offs and water rinse for proper functioning and adjust as needed Adjust brushes and dams to prevent liquid loss Check baume and pH of designated plating baths once per shift and report any abnormalities to Supervisor Check and adjust bath levels Adhere to all safety rules and regulations Sweep, scrub and mop designated areas as time permits Assignment to Hazardous Waste Operations with requisite initial and continuing training Perform other related duties as assigned by management
