The CAS has a support contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in Washington DC to support a wide variety of security programs including INFOSEC, OPSEC, PERSEC, and CYBERSEC. The office provides development and interpretation of NNSA security policy and assists with policy implementation across the NNSA Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE). This position supports NA-72 in the execution of its responsibilities. Develop and oversee implementation of office and program procedures. Provide implementation guidance and assurance on all aspects of physical security, operations security, information security, and classified material protection and control. Coordinate creation of program guidance from the NISPOM, NNSA NAPs, DOE Orders, Executive Orders, and the Atomic Energy Act for NNSA-wide implementation. Analyze directives and other requirements and draft office implementing procedures. Provide on-site subject matter expertise to field sites in coordination with self-assessments and in preparation for independent oversight inspections. Participate in preparation and delivery of security awareness training for program-accessed individuals. Review and analyze inspection reports for factual accuracy and help draft appropriate corrective actions. Provide daily guidance, integration, and coordination. Develop report inputs to the Defense Nuclear Security Reports. Maintain security files, reports, and correspondence as required by NNSA/DOE. Maintain document and visitor control records. Process and verify classified material and courier addresses through the DOE Safeguard & Security Information Management System and the Defense Courier Automated Management System. Notify authorized DOE and contractor personnel when classified documents have been processed through the office channels.
