POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for assisting and leading a group of engineers/designers in researching, generating, developing and implementing electrical systems for all Boston Whaler products. This will include use of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to ensure designs are robust and manufacturing friendly. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review and approve drawings/specifications of direct reports Develop and mentor direct reports and conduct training sessions where appropriate Review and approve purchase requisitions of direct reports Delegate project issues to the appropriate engineers/designers and ensure timely issue resolution and cross-functional communication Assist the Engineering Manager in developing and attaining engineering budgets and schedules for new products Create engineering standards and guidelines as needed or assigned Define requirements and component specifications for panels, wiring harnesses and electrical systems Ensure and/or acquire component and system compliance with industry standards Conceive new electrical and electronic system designs for customer convenience and production plant labor reduction and manufacturability Conduct product research on electrical and electronic equipment and components.
