Details: TEKsystems is in need of a Telecom Field Technician for one of the major wireless carriers to join their existing team. The Field Technician will be responsible for the testing, installation, integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of radio frequency (RF), microwave, other communications and cell site and tower systems in a carrier grade environment. Responsibilities listed below: * Install, remove, configure and repair telecommunications equipment and related equipment at cell site. * Experience working with various types of cabines (2G/3G/4G) * Experience with reconfiguring and repairing equipment (microwave) and other antenna and cable systems. * Experience operating fiber testers, battery testers, cable testers, and other RF analysis equipment. * Complete close-out documents and report site status to Project Manager and team. * Experience with Rack-n-Stack equipment; making repairs to microwave and telecommunications systems. The Field Technician should have experience work in self-sustainable environments as they will be the single point of contact for any issue located at the cell site. The technician should have a solid understanding of radio access networks, backhaul to sites, basic understanding of network design, T1 experience, power systems, AC/DC, and grounding. The cell sites are located throughout Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado.
