Clinical Reimbursement/MDS Specialist
Details: Avante Group Inc., a Long Term Care Company, is seeking a Clinical Reimbursement/MDS Specialist to Oversee MDS activity in all Avante facilities following RAI guidelines. Maintain compliance of the Corporate Plan for uniform scheduling of all MDS activities in Avante facilities encompassing those assessments required by PPS as well as other required assessments to assure timeliness of all completion and submission. This position will be based out of a home office, must reside in NC, FL or VA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure residents discharged from Therapy are properly assessed for coverage under skilled nursing services for continued coverage under Medicare Part A Responsible for Part A ADRs as directed and education for facilities for documentation to support skilled services. Coordinate training and ongoing support for ICD10 coding Access, analyze and distribute CMS reports as required Monitor CMI and provide guidance to IDT on CMI strategies for optimization for Medicaid Case Mix States and RUG scores for Medicare and Managed care RUG payers. Review Documentation for CMI strategies and opportunities Perform Clinical Reimbursement/MDS report card Monitor the selected Corporate Quality Measures monthly and provide facility oversight Responsible to review the Medical Record to ensure compliance with skilled Documentation requirements and to provide education to improve accuracy of nursing/rehab documentation to support skilled services and MDS accuracy. Review Point Right DIA reports, QM and Radar reports as required and provide guidance to facilities as needed. Collaborate with BPCI integration and optimize clinical and rehabilitation outcomes. JOB FUNCTIONS: Essential Elements: Review all relevant customer and quality system requirements for product quality to ensure they are achievable. Plan, develop and document quality control instructions for inspectors, production personnel and suppliers that achieve the required output. Support the development, documentation and refinement of quality processes and certification programs for suppliers, internal operators and products. Support the implementation of methods and procedures for the analysis of suspect material and product non-compliance in a timely, thorough and cost effective manner. Participate in failure analysis/forensic evaluation of failed products. Support Continuous Business initiatives to assess and develop suppliers along with operator authorization programs. Review manufacturing processes, work instructions, repair procedures, routings, and material handling techniques to ensure compliance with all quality requirements. 10. Perform root cause analysis on quality related issues to determine appropriate corrective actions and plans for implementation. 11.
