Clinical Resource Director - PROFESSIONAL: SUPPLY CHAIN

Position Description: Responsible for working with the Division Supply Chain Team to implement the strategic direction of Supply Cost Management within a facility. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: -Develops and implements strategies and processes for reducing supply expense/adjusted admission. -Develops and implements product standardization and utilization. -Monitors utilization and cost data and identifies waste. -Develops and facilitates clinical product committees to reduce the number of SKUs by standardization, increase product quality, evaluate processes and introduce new products. -Actively interacts with the clinicians performing the departmental tasks to identify improvement opportunities and develop/implement continuous quality improvement process regarding supply/labor practices and recommends cost reductions. -Actively participates and communicates with Medical Staff and clinical staff to monitor, communicate, and make improvements to utilization profiling. -Actively participates, communicates and educates all affected departments, physicians, and medical management personnel regarding product and procedure changes. -Maintains and communicates financial and performance measurements as gauge of standardization/utilization success. -Collaborate with physicians in identifying and implementing improvements and standardization. -Measures and continuously verifies process improvements and cost savings. -Demonstrates knowledge of occurrence reporting system and utilizes system to report potential patient safety issues. Assist CNO with any information to determine necessary budgetary compliance. * Participate with Senior Facility and Nurse Management teams in strategic planning, discussing issues, coordinating activities, and resolving risks as necessary. * Coordinates and participates in regulatory processes but not limited to reporting and investigating of accident incident, medication errors, legal issue and narcotics. * Participate in the review and change of policies and procedures as necessary. Communicate all changes for approval, education and implementation. * Assist CNO, Nursing Administration and other Administration with day to day nursing activities, including measuring and developing best practices. Collaborate with DNSs in creating and maintaining standards and uniformity. Collaborate with other leadership in achieving results. * Participate in the collaboration with other nursing and medical leadership in the ArchCare system and TCC faclility in creating and maintaining clinical standards and uniformity as requested including best practice. * Coordinates regulatory audits, hotline calls, NYSDOH visits, OIG visits, investigation and develops plan of action as necessary. * Participates in the monthly Pharmacy and Therapeutic meeting and report nursing findings. * Ensure that medication errors identified are investigated and reported to NYSDOH as indicated with plan of action timely, Quality Council and P & T. * Completes weekly report for Chief Nursing Officer. * Complete reports for monthly Quality Council meetings and report findings. * Participate in monitoring the environment of care, including cleanliness of all areas of the facility are maintained.
