JOB RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Production Supervisor Supervisory Responsibility: None PRIMARY PURPOSE The primary purpose of the setup technician is to support the Shift Leader in achieving production targets, safety, environmental, quality and throughput. The setup technician must have a thorough understanding of machining and the production process to ensure that the production line is producing parts at the required level of quality and volume to meet the targets. They will support the production supervisor in meeting daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly production targets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up, start up and if applicable optimize equipment with adherence to the respective process instructions and work instructions Monitor the production process using SAP, the supervisor system and other visual management tools Instruct production employees in properly performing tasks on the production line Trouble shoot and correct production problems at the line Support other members of the production team when problems arise Work with Maintenance to trouble shoot and assist in repairing equipment Work with Quality and Engineering to trouble shoot and correct issues with parts and processes Make machine offsets and document the changes as required Evaluate and change tools as needed and document the change as required Properly restart processes after interruptions and shut downs Validate the process is running within required parameters by inspecting parts during pre-production, normal production, after tool changes and other process interruptions Verify and adjust in-process gages and measuring machines as required to ensure the process is running within the defined parameters and producing parts within specification Properly handle and label material including raw parts, work in process parts, finished parts, suspect parts and assembly components Use SAP to manage the proper recording of good parts, suspect, scrap parts and rework parts Communicate information both verbally and written, to the organization including production reports, inspection requests, machine service requests, tool change reports and additional items as required Perform basic preventive maintenance activities on the line Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ex. sweep and mop floors, wipe down equipment, cleanout work envelopes within the machines and remove empty pallets, etc Adhere to work regulations, accident prevention regulations, environmental regulations and OSHA/MIOSHA laws Continuous improvement of the business environment Comply with Weber Automotive Employee Conduct and Work Rules; Safety rules and Employee Handbook Perform other duties as assigned

Details: The maintenance manager will report directly to the plant manager but will work closely with various other department managers and supervisors. This position is responsible for the supervision of all maintenance personnel and the efficient operation of the department as a whole. PRIMARY PURPOSE Assures the production equipment is always in good working condition and implement the plant’s overall preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Oversee the implementation of the plant’s existing maintenance program and collaborate with the production staff to assure the plant is safe and operates at peak conditions. Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for equipment & Maintenance tasks; regularly use these documents to ensure safe and efficient maintenance work. Assist in the capture and upkeep of accurate equipment information in the Computerized Maintenance Management System database. Participate in the initial installation & upkeep of equipment and piping label as required by DSC policy. Develop personal skills through ongoing training both at the DSC and through outside training classes. Support the implementation and maintenance of an effective Preventative Maintenance program. Make timely reporting & documentation of equipment breakdowns or mis-operation; provide troubleshooting to minimize downtime of DSC equipment. Record information required for Work Order closure time-spent on task, details on the work performed, additional work required and parts that were used. Assist in the cleanliness, labeling and upkeep in the mechanical storeroom to provide high spare parts availability and accurate inventory counts.
