Putting in pink, golfers raise money for women with breast cancer

TOMAHAWK - You don't normally see a lot of pink on golf course greens. But Sunday at the Inshalla Country Club in Tomahawk, more than a hundred people dressed in pink to raise money for breast cancer patients.

The club hosted its first annual June Cleavage Open. All of the money raised will benefit Ties That Bind Us.

Northwoods veteran gets high school diploma after 69 years

EAGLE RIVER - Sunday was a joyous day for students graduating at Northland Pines High School in Eagle River. Each of them seemed happy to finally get their diploma. But there was one person in the crowd who waited 69 years to get his high school diploma.

"It is my honor to present Ralph May a Northland Pines High School diploma," said Northland Pines District Administrator Dr. Mike Richie.

Students build energy star home to bring down utility bills

RHINELANDER - Attention to small details will help two families save some money on their utility bills. Rhinelander High School students in the Building Trades Program built an energy star duplex.

"There are about ten percent of homes north of Highway 29 that can say they have that label," said building instructor, Russ Germain.
