Marshfield company fights predatory pricing

MARSHFIELD - A Marshfield-based producer of stainless steel piping products and fabricated piping systems is asking the federal government to help stop predatory pricing practices from other countries.

The News-Herald Media reports Felker Bros. Corp. has petitioned the federal government for relief from predatory pricing practices, asking the government to impose a duty on guilty companies.

Previously closed attorney general debate opened

MADISON - A debate between all three Democrats and one Republican running for Wisconsin attorney general that originally was closed to the media will now be open.

The candidates are scheduled to debate at Saturday's annual meeting of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association. The hour-long, town hall style debate was initially closed because it's part of the statewide police union's candidate endorsement process.

County chair optimistic of impact from proposed off-road park

CRANDON - Forest County Board leaders are happy to have hard data showing projections of a proposed off-road vehicle park in Forest County.

Wisconsin Off-Road Vehicle Park Incorporated (WORVPI) wants to work with the county to build the 10,000 acre off-road park. They gave a presentation to the board in a closed session Tuesday night.

New recycling program promotes recycling correctly

TOMAHAWK - People take out their trash every week. But have you ever thought you could get a prize from that? Tomahawk started a program that rewards residents from taking out their garbage. Newswatch 12 met up with the winner of the program.

"It's just so easy to recycle and do the right thing. You help your city, you help the environment and I mean I won $40 just for doing the right thing," said Ryan Montalto.

16th Never Forgotten Honor Flight: taking too long for memorials, trips, and welcomes home

WASHINGTON, DC - World War II and Korean War veterans from northcentral Wisconsin often faced too many enemy fighters, had too little to eat, and were exposed to too much violence at such a young age.

For many, it took too much time for our country to memorialize them.

Lake Superior tourists find ice still on the lakes

MARQUETTE, MI - The record-setting cold that gripped Michigan last winter continues to leave its mark, with ice floes showing up on the shore of Lake Superior over the warm Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Some of the warmest temperatures of the year drew people to the beach in the Upper Peninsula, where they found abundant ice floating just off shore at Marquette.
