Skills Needed / Responsibilities: This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for creating a team environment for the financial staff to maximize output along with accurate and timely results. This position will be located at the Spirit Way located in Green Bay. Responsible for managing the accounting staff in general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Coordinate and support the annual financial audit and year end closing activities. Provide the leadership team with monthly financial report packaging, analysis and ad hoc support throughout the year (General Ledger and Balance Sheet account reconciliations, Key Financial Statement Metrics, etc.). Provide accounting guidance to cross functional team as it relates to decision making needs and impacts of accounting policy to other processes and procedures. Demonstrates appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and applies them (as required) to provide objective, timely, and accurate financial information to meet / exceed regulatory and legislative requirements and to help drive business results and manage risk management activities for the company. Establish and implement short and long term department goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures to meet company goals and provide a practical but effective internal control environment.
