Details: We are looking to add a super user Solidworks Designer to our Engineering team. We are in the middle of a huge project where all designs are converted from AutoCAD to Solidworks. This includes thousands of legacy drawings. We are looking for an expert to be a lead Designer for the team. This is a brand new position. Long term, this position will be brought on permanently as a Project Engineer. All products are custom and this requires a resource to take customer ideas through the entire design and manufacturing process. Qualifications: 1. Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design 2. 3-10 years experience using Solidworks 3. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of Windows PC based software product configuration tools, a critical part of our motor control drives system value chain. Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript and Web Application Technology is a plus. Essential Functions: Contributes to requirements specification and documentation. Contributes to system and subsystem designs, including Graphical User Interface, data management and network communication. Develops and documents stable and robust code according to the software development process. Develops and documents functional tests. Develops, documents and executes thorough unit tests. Reports, analyzes, debugs, and corrects anomalies. Demonstrates strong teamwork and communication skills. Works effectively both independently and in a team environment to deliver solutions in a fast paced environment.
