ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Telecommunications Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of phone and voice mail services (PBX and VOIP), communication lines (TDM and SIP), DVR recording, audio conferencing, and call detail recording systems. The Telecommunications Technician will respond to day to day incidents that come up and is expected to perform the necessary troubleshooting and repair to address the ticket. The Telecommunications Technician will be expected to use client specific ticketing system, respond to incidents within defined service levels, and with a high level of customer service. In addition, they will also respond to moves, adds, and changes to the voice infrastructure and will also be asked to work on projects throughout the company that require new installation and/or configuration of telecommunication equipment. This work may be required at any client location including data centers, offices, service centers, and power plants.
