Keeps clinical records to include orientation, assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, treatment plan update/staffing reviews, discharge plans, etc. Provides educational lectures to both clients and their families in areas specific to substance abuse and prevention. Presents clinical cases to a multidisciplinary team in order to develop and prioritize client's needs, update treatment plans, and plan for appropriate discharge. Exhibits research skills in order to collect and compile outcome data for the A&D Treatment Center. Maintains active and consistent communication with current and potential referral sources in the community to ensure continuity of care for substance abusing clients. Communicates clinically with third party payers in order to ensure continued stays for clients at the appropriate levels of care. Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals, regulations and standards and attending related seminars, conferences and the like.
