Details: Job Summary: The Supervisor for Stacks Management has primary responsibility for the continuing maintenance and operations of the collections of the Hamon Arts Library. This position also shares the responsibility for training and supervising student staff performing circulation and stacks management tasks. The Hamon Stacks Supervisor has specific hours during the academic term, the work hours are Sun-Thurs, 1pm-9pm. During breaks and summer, the hours will be 9-5, M-F. Essential Functions: Oversee stacks management program, including periodicals, vertical files, weeding projects, preservation, and Voyager record maintenance. Work with Technology Services to correct record problems. Manage short- and long-term strategies for software-based shelfreading system. Maintain all print and AV course reserves. Responsible for training and supervising student staff in stacks management. Supervise student assistants at the circulation desk during the Sunday and evening shifts. Serve as point person for submitting help tickets for public equipment (printer, scanners, public computers) and ongoing maintenance of public equipment in Hamon. Work closely with Stacks Manager in Fondren Library and other library staff throughout CUL on special projects that support overall improvements to the library's collections and spaces.
