We are looking for a Project Biologist / Environmental Planner to support the development and growth of Kleinfelder's Environmental Planning and Permitting (EP&P) Practice in the Great Plains Region. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Kleinfelder's fastest growing services. To be considered for this position, you must have experience in wetland and stream delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and surveys, compensatory mitigation planning for wetland mitigation and stream restoration, project permitting with regulatory agencies, wildlife ecology, impact assessment, and NEPA requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in plant and wildlife identification, soils evaluation, an understanding of hydrology, GPS use, permit preparation, and be able to conduct work year round in adverse climate and field conditions. Environmental planning, permitting, wetland, and NEPA experience on transportation, oil and gas, and commercial projects is preferred. EXPERIENCE: Candidate must have 5 to 10 years of professional experience and have experience technical report writing, including preparation of Categorical Exclusions (CE's) and Environmental Assessments and in public involvement. Position requires solid technical writing and verbal communication skills. EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in an Environmental, Biological or Ecological Science (MS is preferred) and 6+ years of experience as a natural resources professional is required.
