Certified Home Health & Hospice Aide (CNA)

Details: The Home Health and Hospice Aide (HHA) performs under the direction and supervision of the RN Case Manager & Clinical Supervisor, through delivering patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of patients as assigned. In this role the HHA may/will assist with patient care activities including but not limited to oral hygiene, hair care, nail care, patient positioning and ambulation, bathing, bowel and bladder functions and care during the death and dying process. The HHA will work as a member of the patient care team, reporting changes in patient condition efficiently with accuracy to the RN case manager. The HHA is also responsible for completing and submitting all visit/patient related documentation. The Home Health and Hospice Aide will assist patients in accordance with the patient’s plan of care, in compliance with all state and federal regulations. The HHA will report to the Hospice Clinical Supervisor.

Based at the Institute's field campus in the North Cascades National Park (Diablo Lake), this position assists with facilities maintenance for the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center, which may serve up to 92 children and/or adults per day on a seven-day-a-week schedule, up to ten months a year. Supervised by the Facilities Manager, this position works closely with all other staff, partners and contractors to support a wide array of educational programs. This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair and Maintenance - Assist with prescribed major maintenance. - Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment and furnishings as needed.- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.- Assist with renovation, remodel and construction projects as assigned.- Maintain an orderly maintenance shop.
