Details: Description: This role is responsible for accurately and precisely planning, negotiating and buying high quality print, corrugate and commodity items from both domestic and off-shore suppliers at the best possible price with a minimum of capital investment while achieving a high level of customer service. Individual must have an intimate working knowledge of MRP in order to successfully manage, control and optimize stocking levels of assigned products to achieve desired inventory turns, order fill rates and schedule attainment based on established objectives. Responsibilities: Ability to effectively source, quote, negotiate and procure print and corrugate items; assessing project requirements and providing timely, cost effective options/recommendations to support business objectives. Responsible for procurement and delivery of assigned products and component materials needed to meet manufacturing and customer deadlines. Expertise in using MRP and planning tools, analyze inventory order patterns and sales data to provide input for strategic purchasing decisions. Maintain the accuracy of purchase item data and planning parameters driving the MPS/MRP processes. Analyze and solve complex purchasing problems with other departments (Accounting, Receiving, Production Planning, Product Development, etc.) such as conformance to quality or design requirements, material scheduling, receiving, and price disputes. Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions to support achievement of goals as related to suppliers and products. Evaluate and measure vendors' performance and initiate corrective action when expectations are not met. Participate in evaluation and selection of new suppliers. RESPONSIBILITIES: This individual will work on the Airgas Web Operations Team and will be responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of Airgas’ digital product strategies and roadmap. The candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams (analytics, design, UX, technical, marketing and business development) to support the growth of Airgas.com, eMarkets (B2B) and mobile channels. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Responsible for the Digital Product Management program including planning and execution of the Airgas digital properties and related platforms, and working with the Director of Web Operations on product roadmap. • Responsible for gathering, specifying, prioritizing and documenting product requirements for mobile, Airgas.com and eMarkets platforms, including owning the documentation process (creation, communication, approval). • Responsible for developing and documenting functional designs for the software, gathering the appropriate approvals, and reviewing them with the software development team. • Responsible for managing the development of site user documentation. • Responsible for conducting and communicating company, market and competitor analysis to support program goals. • Responsible for working with the business owners and technical teams to facilitate defect management and prioritization as well as customer technical support for the digital properties. • Responsible for ensuring that all necessary user acceptance, performance, and post production testing is conducted and documented in accordance with Airgas test guidelines. • Create and/or maintain relationships with web platform software vendors including coordinating necessary training with those vendors in conjunction with the Digital Channel lead. • Verify timelines, status, dependencies, and roadblocks across multiple projects on rapid timelines. Machine components and verify finished features, surface finish and dimensions, using microscopes and metrology equipment to tolerances within 0.0001”. Materials include: Titanium, Stainless Steels, Tool Steels, Plastics and Ceramics. Education & Experience: Thorough knowledge of assembly language and machine shop practice, with 8 to 10 years related experience. Trade School with formal apprentice training 6 to 8 years is preferred. SolidWorks and Delcam’s FeatureCam, PowerMill and PowerShape software experience is a plus. Experience with 4 and 5-axis programming is required, and milling of small blade geometries is a plus.
