Details: Registered Nurse Texas Oncology - South Austin Cancer Center has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Registered Nurse position in our Austin Office. Note: This specific position works primarily in the infusion room area of our clinic. We are supported by a full time pharmacy so there is no mixing, but we treat more than 90 patients per day in 34 chairs and you will be responsible for managing up to 5 patients at a time. We are looking for an OCN with chemo infusion experience. Scope: Under direct supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. Demonstrates knowledge of age specific differences in the patient population including late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and the elderly. This includes physiological, psychological, and developmental differences unique to each group. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Registered Nurse includes: Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications under the direction and supervision of a physician. Assists physician with exams and procedures. Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms. Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes. Maintains all exam room disinfection protocols. Assesses patients for changes in condition, including but not limited to abnormal labs, x-rays, scans, drug reactions and initiates appropriate action. Maintains knowledge of reimbursement procedures. Completes all chemotherapy charge forms. Assures pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies. Demonstrates knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use and maintenance, cleaning pumps after use, and proper documentation of pump usage. Facilitates dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management. Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central lines catheter devices. Administers all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique. Displays appropriate technical skills for the administration of chemotherapy, medications and blood products, to include, but not limited to: venipuncture, central line access and infusion devices. Programs portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provides instruction to the patient and/or caregiver in the use of the pump at home. Documents nursing assessments, patient teaching and fluid and medication administration in the patient chart. Communicates all pertinent information and any interventions to the physician. Assures nursing charges are accurate and complete on patient fee slips. Acts as a resource person to the medical assistants. Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart. Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material. Demonstrates awareness of community resources available to patients and assists with referrals if necessary. Manages patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and records the information in the patient chart. Maintains a clean work environment and restocks the supply area as needed. Provides nursing coverage for the satellite offices as needed. Follows OSHA guidelines when handling cytotoxic agents, biohazardous waste and any other material potentially infected with a blood borne pathogen. Details: The Technical Project Manager will manage and track multiple software development and/or security infrastructure projects in a structured and efficient manner following a mature lifecycle model to create value-add for the firm. The incumbent will do the following: Manage all phases of varied and complex projects including requirement gathering, technical design, software development or security engineering, testing and deployment. Produce and maintain project documents including detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, ensuring PMO compliance for all project deliverables. Ensure communication to all stakeholders across all levels including detailed engineering and operational level communications as well as program and executive management project status, issues, and risk reporting. Collaborate with internal clients/colleagues including Security Engineering, Security Operations, Enterprise Infrastructure stakeholders, IT Security stakeholders and application deployment and support teams across Technology & Data. Ensure project success and completion. Escalate as necessary to remove any roadblocks impeding success.

Manager, Regulatory Affairs

Details: The role is primarily responsible for the management and support of Pre and Post approval regulatory activities supporting new product filings to the FDA including annual registration maintenance and foreign registrations. Success in the role is measured on: Timely and accurate annual report filings, supplements or ANDA submissions as per FDA regulation guidelines. No reworks, delays in launch or commercial availability or quality/regulatory impacts (recalls, etc.) Job Responsibilities: 50% - Prepare documentation needed to maintain registration of products. Manage the annual report submissions, DMF updates and labeling changes. Assemble, review and submit product annual reports within the regulatory time frame. 25%- Manage and support product post-approval regulatory activities. Review and approve change controls, submit post approval changes and supplements as agreed with partners and as needed to support regular manufacture and distribution of products. Coordinate efforts to answer deficiency letters, establish regulatory strategies, and advise on regulatory strategies and data requirements. 15%- Submit original ANDA for FDA review. Submit Amendments or other 505(b)(2), DMF’s and 510(k)’s submissions in support of filings owned by the company or where the company is the U.S. Agent. Identify, assist with gathering, and evaluate data from partners as needed to support all submissions. 10%- Support Foreign Registration: Create ANDA Dossier, prepare, review and submit packages for CPP Request 10-20% domestic and international travel required. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred. Science background degree preferred (Chemistry, microbiology/biology, pharmacy, premed, nursing). Strong knowledge of FDA submission regulations and guidelines Knowledge of cGMP and ICH Guidelines Experience with Regulatory planning and organization Proficient with PC-Based word processing software, databases and spreadsheets 5 or more years of direct pharmaceutical industry experience OR solid equivalent experience in cGMP environment (manufacturing preferred) OR Regulatory Affairs. Broad career progression including experience in multiple departments in pharmaceutical, drug development and/or manufacturing industry preferred. Injectable product experience is a plus. Strong planning and organizational / project / workload management skills Ability to work under deadline pressure / rapidly shifting priorities and manage multiple projects Ability to prioritize projects independently as well as experience working in project teams Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight. Solid interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills at all levels.
