Details: HBSS Administrator Job Description: Responsible for configuring, integrating, operating, and maintaining the USTRANSCOM Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) Windows 2008 servers. Maintain the ePro servers and ensure all point products are installed on the supported clients. Perform system administration on the HBSS and integrate HBSS data (alerts, logs, data feeds, etc.) into existing USTRANSCOM protect, detect, and respond processes, procedures (intrusion detection analysis, auditing, etc.), and systems. Monitor the HBSS for alerts, assess and modify the HBSS operational parameters (filters, signatures, rules, etc.) when requested. Knowledge of boundary based devices such as Checkpoint firewalls, Snort IDS, Bluecoat Proxies and Mail gateways is favorable. Knowledge and Experience with Linux (Red Hat or CentOS) and other boundary protection devices is also a plus. Must obtain a CEH certification within 6 months of hire.
