Responsibilities include: Performs technical duties involving the design and development of new tooling, new equipment, and adaptations to tools presently in use required to manufacture product to specific engineering specifications using CAD. Analysis designs and incorporates all features necessary for construction. Provide source data from suppliers as required, participates in procurement and implementation. Considers all aspects of electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic requirements and prepares drawings, bill of materials, and supporting documentation. Maintains tool master file. Makes drawing revisions as required by change. Participates in supplier selection for tools and equipment parts. Maintains drafting standards. Works with manufacturing engineers and other departments on matters of concern to assure ease of manufacturing and tooling concepts.
