Details: Summary: Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline measurement processes and data. Understand best practices regarding performance improvement and has general knowledge of business and strategy to evaluate and assess performance issues. Work with leadership in measurement and other departments that interact with measurement for process and performance initiatives from identification of opportunity through implementation. Area of focus for performance improvement initiatives will be in gas and energy measurement data analysis for a midstream pipeline company. The role will be expected to work with minimal to no supervision. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Primary focus will be to lead process improvement initiatives to streamline measurement processes and data. Create and maintain measurement data process and procedure documentation. Identify, quantify and prioritize improvement projects to reduce waste, improve processes and improve measurement and control of the measurement department. Perform root cause analyses and mentor measurement group in root cause analysis techniques and problem solving techniques. Facilitate work sessions to identify business problems, develop root cause analyses and suggest areas of performance improvement. Collect and analyze data from disparate sources including: data created through forms or surveys, data obtained through existing systems (FlowCal, IDT, etc), and data in reports or other areas. Ensure key metrics are defined, implemented and monitored by the measurement group for ongoing sustainability of improvements. Evaluate and monitor results to make performance based recommendations to leadership. Present data, findings and recommendations to measurement management and Enable senior management. Develop process, value stream, and work flow maps. Conduct interviews and work observation. Prepare project charters and lead execution of team-based problem solving projects using standard methodologies, as appropriate, to deliver significant, quantifiable and sustainable performance improvements.
