Details: Job Summary : This job is responsible for performing surveillance of cardiac rhythms at a central monitoring station, and for recognizing, recording and reporting potentially dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias in accordance with established standards and procedures. Work is performed under the direction of a Registered Nurse. An incumbent also performs general receptionist/clerical tasks that are incidental to the primary purpose of the position. Operate laboratory equipment and instruments, performing preventive and corrective maintenance as required. Identify factors that affect procedures, instruments, and results, and take appropriate corrective action. Perform mathematical functions as required by laboratory procedures. Practice laboratory safety and regulatory compliance. Perform information processing functions in the clinical laboratory. Apply laboratory results to diagnosis and treatment of clinical conditions and/or diseases. Possess working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
