Details: Our client, in the debt collections industry, is seeking an HR Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function including hiring, training, employee relations, benefits, and policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities: Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel. Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Implements and annually updates compensation program as requested; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of programs for cost effectiveness. Manages one to two HR support employees. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Develops and maintains federal and state regulated programs as needed; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Responsible for recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; conducts exit interviews and works with human resources assistant to write and place job advertisements. Provides employee relations counseling and conducts investigations as needed to ensure that employee concerns are being addressed and company is in compliance with federal, state and local labor law.
