Plant Controller
Details: The Assistant Controller is responsible for the supervision of accounts payable and accounts receivable; liaison to external auditors; periodic financial reports; general ledger and bank reconciliations; costing and gross margin analysis; all the while ensuring that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, bank reconciliations and general ledger. 2. Oversee the operations of the accounts payable and accounts receivable areas including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives. 3. Serve as a liaison to external auditors. 4. Manage the local financial system. 5. Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner. 6. Ensure all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable. 7. Ensure accounts receivable are collected promptly. 8. Ensure periodic bank reconciliations are completed. 9. Prepare journal entries and provide correct account coding to local team members. 10. Complete period end accurately, completely and within the required timeline. 11. Issue timely, accurate and complete financial statements. 12. Perform trend and other reviews of results to identify and explain any material variances. 13. Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly basis. 14. Assist/provide data for both internal and external reporting. 15. Prepare various cost analysis as well as gross margin reporting including variance analysis. 16. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for annual and quarterly audits. 17. Ensure defined internal controls are followed on a consistent basis for Sarbanes Oxley compliance. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise accounting staff at the Blue Springs location.
Safety Manager
Details: Safety Manager - For world class manufacturer of powertrain systems for automotive and commercial vehicle applications. The purpose of this role will be to coordinate activities that support the health & safety and environmental management systems and provide technical support in health & safety and environmental quality of this manufacturing site. Additionally, this role will ensure the organization meets legislative and others requirements, and coordinate implementation of recommendations to improve health & safety and environmental processes and management. Duties will include: Coordinates, monitors and maintains compliance with the ISO 14001 system. Acts as the Environmental Management Representative and reports performance in management review meetings. Manages Workers Compensation program. Identifies, recommends, and helps coordinate implementation of improvements to environmental, health and safety practices and processes. Maintains, and updates as necessary, health and safety standards, procedures and form documentation. Coordinates facility annual environmental, health and safety continuous improvement plans. Coordinates communication of health, safety and environmental incident bulletins. Periodically audits environmental health and safety practices and programs. Participates in environmental health and safety hazard identification and control activities. Follows up on the status of Health, Safety and Environmental requested actions. Participates as the lead chair of the facility Joint Health & Safety Committees. Assists with environmental health and safety training development and delivery. Assists with environmental health and safety related incident and accident investigations. Reviews environmental health and safety procedures for improvement and implementation. Assists in review of environmental health and safety legal requirements. Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to. Ensures he/she is in full compliance with OSHA laws. Coordinates activities in waste assessment (water, soil or air and analysis). Identifies reviews and evaluates environmental aspects and impacts with company activities, products and service. Provides technical support on issues relating to environmental, safety and cost reduction projects. Establishes updates and controls procedures for emergency preparedness in areas of spills, chemicals, waste, etc. and communicates and/or trains employees on any changes.

This includes, but is not limited to, functioning as the knowledge base for assembly process capabilities and limitations, devise specifications and in depth documentation for process design, being a troubleshooter, and be able to work with members of management and all facility personnel to achieve the company goals in the manufacture of products on time and within budget for on time delivery. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Evaluate project definition and formulate process design and technical requirements, and analyze such projects for feasibility regarding engineering, manufacturing, and budget implications. 2. Implement plant level tactical plans and insures effective implementation of business unit strategic initiatives. 3. Oversee assigned plant equipment, building and production process projects. 4. Champion plant and process specific programs to identify and eliminate waste and risks. Identify and implement improvement opportunities and work to ensure operational effectiveness of the plant.
Assembly Supervisor
Details: Assembly Supervisor (1st Shift) - For world class manufacturer of body, chassis and frame systems for automotive and commercial transportation applications. This manufacturer is seeking candidates with 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in an automotive supplier environment preferably and ideally will possess significant sheet metal welded assembly experience with knowledge of managing both Resistance and Mig weld processes. Additionally, preferable experience in a high volume environment is preferred and ideal candidates will have exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen Events and Systematic Problem Solving. Candidates with strong supervisor experience, but in other product fields are still encouraged to apply.

Must be an individual who enjoys engaging projects and people at the shop floor level.
