Ensures the mine dryrooms and offices, miner’s lamps, and self-rescuers are maintained in good shape. Controls the issue of special maintenance tools to minimize lost or stolen items (surface or underground). Performs special projects related to storeroom and maintenance activities which may include filling in for vacations of other foreman. Setting-up of new inventory items in SAP, establishing min/max quantity levels according to procurement lead times and criticality of part. Creating requisitions for consumables that are high use low cost items such as hydraulic hoses, fittings, nuts, bolts and pipe fittings etc. Conducting required cycle counts in accordance with audit processes. Ensuring the timeliness of receipts, stocking and issuing parts to internal customers, processing repairs and barcoding parts.
