Speech Therapist (ST)

Details: Speech Language Pathologist Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), and identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function. Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve patient’s function. Administers speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/or equipment. Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated. Confers with referring physician and other organization personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care contributes to the total plan of care. As appropriate, participates in case conferences, in-services and other meetings required ensuring coordinated and comprehensive care. Prepares and submits notes per agency policy. Maintains clinical competency in speech language pathology practice and theory. The incumbent has knowledge of origination and closing documentation and signatory requirements and documents deficiencies identified during the audit process that must be resolved before the loan can be insured. Compiles required documentation according to the prescribed investor or agency stacking order requiring full knowledge of the particular agency's requirements and all process changes as the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Veterans Affairs publish them as well as the requirements of the Mortgage Insurance providers. This individual will have the ability to talk professionally with the driver, diagnose the equipment, and make appropriate repair decisions. The Service Writer will estimate the repair times in order to provide reliable information to the Driver and the line of business regarding the availability of the equipment and create accurate electronic work orders for the shop. The Service Writer also provides support in other areas such as sublet, parts, and direct equipment repair. Responsibilities: Support the Drivers in the highest professional manner so as to enhance the Drivers experience and be the liaison between the shop and the driver. Consistently executes the eight tenants of Service Writing. Physically inspect the equipment Create accurate repair time estimate for each repair order. Complete on the spot repairs Inform the Driver, before he / she leaves the counter, when the unit will be in the shop and when the work will be complete. Proactively schedule the shop and assign the work [working with the Shift Supervisor] Answer all incoming calls and communicate with the leadership team by radio and/or e-mail when person to person is not possible.
