RHINELANDER - The Oneida County landfill offers people a unique opportunity. You pay a discounted price to get other people's mildly used furniture, tables and chairs that would otherwise end up in the trash. But budget cuts are threatening Rhinelander's Second Story Store. Grant funding helped open Second Story in 2011. But the grant ran out this year, as did the city's 10-year solid waste contract. Full Story: WJFW

RHINELANDER - The Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault wants to raise awareness. It held the second annual chalk walk in Downtown Rhinelander today. But this sidewalk chalk art had special meaning. Full Story: WJFW

MADISON - Republican state Representative Dean Kaufert says he will not call for a vote to revoke a $250,000 grant given to help build a Native American cultural center. Kaufert had proposed revoking the funding after Lake Superior Chippewa tribes dramatically increased their walleye spearfishing goals, a move Kaufert says would hurt tourism in northern Wisconsin. MADISON - A Wisconsin lawmaker is pushing legislation to help protect the privacy of workers and job applicants. The bill would keep employers from requiring access to personal social media accounts. Full Story: WJFW

RHINELANDER - When the economy drags it can be tough to afford preventative healthcare. That's why the Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation hosts community health and wellness fairs. Four hundred people turned out for the hospital's latest health fair Saturday. They offer the screenings for everything from blood pressure to breast health-- for free. Full Story: WJFW

WESTON - A Weston man spent Saturday in jail after he crashed his car into a house. It happened just after Midnight on Ross Avenue and Birch Street. Full Story: WJFW

WAUSAU - When you child out grows their car seat, you might pass it along to someone else, sell it, or throw it away. But there's another alternative. Safe Kids in Wausau held its second annual Car Seat Recycling Day at the Judging Pavilion in Marathon Park. Full Story: WJFW

WAUSAU - It wasn’t exactly nice weather to walk in, but that didn’t stop Northwoods residents doing it anyway to raise awareness for babies born too soon, or with illnesses. "The walk was actually pretty fun considering it was so cold," said march participant, Jodi Sleznikow. Full Story: WJFW
