Boiler Operator

Details: Boiler Operator At Sanimax, we’re focused on making the world a better place. Our business is strong and growing – and we’re looking for more great talent to share in our success! We’re looking for a Boiler Operator to join our team in Green Bay. The Boiler Operator runs and maintains a natural gas fired, automated high pressure boiler, as well as compressed air and water systems for our facility. This role is key to supporting ongoing production through the efficient use of steam, and helps create and maintain a safe working environment for our employees. In this role, you will: • Operate and monitor the facility boilers, to include start-up, normal operation, and shutdown • Conduct all necessary boiler monitoring, testing and inventory management on an ongoing basis, and notify Supervisor of any necessary boiler tune-ups. • Monitor efficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and perform or assist with maintenance and repairs of boiler-related steam and condensate systems. • Clean and maintain all associated equipment, and perform regular safety checks. • Coordinate and assist in annual boiler inspections. • Monitor all scrubber systems to ensure they are operating within acceptable parameters. • Other duties as required The right person for this role is a safety-conscious individual who works well as part of a team. We’re also seeking skills and experience including: • A 3rd class Power Plant operating Engineer license preferred; or equivalent experience with the willingness to upgrade your license with Sanimax’s financial support. • Able to understand and interact with fully automated control systems, and operate in manual mode if necessary • Able to do physical labor throughout the shift • Good communication and problem solving skills • Highly motivated, results driven, and trustworthy • Able to work well independently, and know when to seek assistance This role will work 5:00pm-5:20am and work on a compressed schedule, working every other weekend. Part-time work hours for this position consists of shift-work on any day from Sunday through Saturday, which may include irregular hours, nights, holidays, overtime, extended shifts and weekend shifts, changing shifts, and split shifts. Part-time split shift is defined as any two shifts, lasting at least two (2) hours each, in one 24-hour period with a break of at least two (2) hours between shifts.
