Have a thorough knowledge of their scopes of work as it pertains to your project and affects your schedule. Maintain regular correspondence with them, keeping them abreast of all schedule changes. 4) Coordinate all phases of your project with your subcontractors to ensure a timely finish. 5) Be aware of long lead time items and materials critical to the schedule and maintain a regular contact with these suppliers. 6) In conjunction with a critical path schedule, make short-term plans (2-3 weeks) and assist Project Manager in long-term planning to ensure a timely finish of the project. 7) Communicate these plans to subcontractors to assist them in coordination of their scope of work as it pertains to the total project. 8) Coordinate all inspections with subcontractors and appropriate inspections departments. Ensure that they are set up in a timely manner so as not to hinder the project schedule. 9) Maintain at all times a clean, organized, and safe job site. 10) Maintain quality control of all construction on your project. 11) With assistance of the Project Manager, hold weekly progress meetings on site with all subcontractors involved (depending on the size and scope of the project). Discuss schedule and potential problems to avoid conflicts. Keep minutes of these meetings (with assistance from Project Manager), copies of which are sent to attendees. 12) Hold weekly safety meetings on site. Enforce all OSHA and McKenna safety rules. 13) Maintain a daily construction log in a bound notebook. The log should be completed daily in ink containing all pertinent information regarding the project to include: weather (if applicable); materials and/or equipment delivered to the job site; list of subcontractors with number of employees on site, hours worked, and activities performed; record of materials or equipment ordered; dumpster pulls called for; any contact with Owner's rep or architect; any items causing problems or potential delays on the project; and any other information pertinent to the project. 14) Maintain a professional rapport with the owners, architects, engineers, and other contractors involved with your project. 15) Scrutinize all plans, shop drawings, specifications, etc. pertaining to your project to find potential discrepancies or errors BEFORE they become critical. 16) Notify Project Manager IMMEDIATELY upon finding any discrepancies, differences, or variations of plans, specifications, or job conditions. 17) Maintain a continual training program with McKenna personnel involved with your project, teaching employees good construction habits conductive to quality, production, and safety. 18) Hire laborers or tradespeople to complete work as required. 19) Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License. 20) Must be willing and able to comply with a drug-free working environment.
