Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

Details: The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will compile and analyze data for recurring projections and will participate in ad hoc/unique analysis projects as directed. She/he will identify key areas requiring focus and create presentations to concisely explain trends and highlights. This is a high profile position with exposure to senior executive leadership of the company. Job Responsibilities: • Work directly with Business Unit finance leaders to direct forecasting and budgeting processes and to understand variances and gather required data and analysis. • Develop and maintain Excel and PowerPoint grids and templates to accumulate, analyze and report the results of Business Unit data. • Build static and ad hoc queries to extract data from the Hyperion Planning system for subsequent analysis. • Prepare financial and informational recaps and PowerPoint presentations to summarize results and highlight key points for high-level audiences. • Proactively consider events in the business and how they should impact future looking projections. • Concisely explain variances, identify trends and deliver insightful observations regarding the business. • Build and maintain models to consolidate and report on disparate data. • Participate in Oracle Hyperion Planning, Capital Asset Planning, and Workforce Planning implementation to ensure system set-up will meet on-going analysis needs. • Participate in recurring meetings with managers and executives to review results and projections. • Recommend and implement best practices and process improvements. • Become back-up (and eventual owner) for maintaining the Company’s overall corporate financial model for use with Ratings Agencies and other purposes. • Work with peers to ensure cross-training and redundancy of knowledge between roles. • Provide oversight and counsel to help corporate and business unit finance teams utilize Essbase reporting accurately and effectively.
