Details: Coding Specialist At Stony Brook Medicine, our Coding Specialist is a valuable member of our team, who provides their knowledge of medical terminology, diseases and medications to assign a diagnostic or procedural code to each entry in a patient’s record. Duties of a Coding Specialist may include the following but are not limited to: • Abstracts pertinent information from patient records.
